Mel S. Linn

Mel Linn, Chief Executive Officer and President, co-founded SOAR Solutions in June 2012 to offer customers a comprehensive solution that uses web-based fleet and operations software along with experienced professionals to support our customers’ data collection, entry process, analysis and reporting process.  Responsible for sales, product development, and information technology, Mr. Linn has over 25 years experience in servicing and operating businesses in highly regulated industries.

As the general manager of a small trucking company since 2007, Mr. Linn has tracked and created reports used for decision-making in all aspects of the business including: vehicles and trailers, warehouse equipment, driver and non-driver personnel, safety, and training. His goals were to create operating efficiencies, lower costs, and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian transportation regulations. 

From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Linn operated a small portfolio of businesses in Australia that offered equipment leasing and sales, products, and services for engineers in the environmental, mining, and wine industries. Prior to this, he held various positions in management and operations with BOSS Hauling and BOSS Lubricants.

Mr. Linn earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Geography with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Calgary. He lives in Calgary with his family and enjoys playing hockey, golf, and skiing.
